Donald Trump's file
Donald Trump has been a real estate developer, entrepreneur and host of the NBC reality show, "The Apprentice." He is running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. Trump's statements were awarded PolitiFact's 2015 Lie of the Year.
Hillary Clinton's file
Democrat from New York
Hillary Clinton is a candidate running for president of the United States in 2016. She served as U.S. Secretary of State during the first four years of the Obama administration. She is formerly a U.S. senator from New York, first elected in 2000. She was a candidate for president in 2008. She previously served as first lady when her husband, Bill Clinton, served two terms as president. She was born in Chicago in 1947, graduated from Wellesley College and earned a law degree at Yale Law School. She and her husband have one daughter.
Though I would not like to have either one of these candidates succeed, it would cause great harm to our country if our president says more lies than anything else. It is ironic that Hillary Clinton, who has a record of lies, has far far less than Donald Trump. They are both dishonest but Donald Trump is clearly the worst.
ReplyDeleteI think it's ironic how Hilary has a record of not being very truthful when it comes to her emails or whatever she's been hiding, but she's been more honest than Trump. I don't support Hilary what so ever, but the fact that she's being more truthful with what she's said than Trump puts many things in a different perspective. Many people who support Trump like him because he speaks his mind, but what's on his mind isn't even true, as the article has proven. In the article it states that, "The 2016 federal omnibus spending bill 'funds illegal immigrants coming in and through your border, right through Phoenix.'" (Politifact). Not only is this 100% proven false, but it is a scare tactic used by Trump to get people thinking that we need someone like Donald to stop the funding of immigrants, when in reality we need someone who isn't constantly saying rude and irrational statements about minorities, women, and basically anyone with whom he disagrees.
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that any of these presidential candidates are even worth being the president of the United States. As their tweets clearly depict they are both liars and do not say fully truthful things. I think that Trump and Hilary running for president is like picking the lesser of two evils. Both presidential candidates as displayed by the bar graphs are not truthful honest politicians (which most aren't in the first place). These two people do not deserve to run our country let alone even attempt to run for the president of the U.S.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that either of these presidential candidates are worthy of the title. Hilary Clinton is obviously a huge liar, no matter what this article says. The fact that she even has an FBI investigation on her shows a lack of character. She has had problems with lying ever since the 1970s when she got kicked off of the Watergate investigation. She is not to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny that even the description of the two leans more toward showing that Hillary is truthful. Both of these candidates have told many lies and do not want to base my entire judgement off of this document alone because it looks biased. However, Trump has said way too many wrong and hateful things to be credible, but Clinton has had too much international and government secret business. I would not be willing to put my faith in either of these candidates. Although we are all uncertain of the future candidates, I think we are all certain that this upcoming elections and presidency is going to be an interesting one. Whether "interesting" will be good or bad is yet to be seen.
ReplyDeleteIf I was 18, and legal to vote when the time came my vote would be going to Donald Trump. America today is too soft, and you have to be "politically correct" with everything you say. Donald Trump is what America needs to be like. President Obama is afraid too hurt peoples feelings therefore he doesn't call it how it is. We need a president who is Honest and wants America to be the best country again. An example of America being "soft" is you cant say Merry Christmas in school, or even show a Christmas movie. This is absolutely ridiculous. Here in America 90% celebrate Christmas (Washington Times). The other 10% that get there feelings hurt by wishing someone a Merry Christmas are holding us down and creating a view that if you complain about something they will change it.
ReplyDeleteI still hope that Trump makes it as a nominee and that he wins the election for president. I love how everyone has said that Trump will fall and is not a serious candidate, but he still here, an on his way to get 1,000 delegates. That's all it will take for him to get the nomination, and i have high hopes that he will. I don't know why people bash on Trump so and they don't as much to Hillary. She lies a lot, for one she should be in jail or disqualified as a candidate for the email scandal. If Trump were to do this he would be out of the race like that, but no, if its Hillary, nothings wrong. What I believe is that once Hillary is president our fate is sealed, this country will stay on the same path. What this country needs is a change, and a big one, Hillary is not capable of this, just in my opinion. This country is getting be too PC(Politically Correct) Which I despise, every little thing hurts someone. You cant say one thing without hurting someone. They even have safe spaces at some colleges now, this is ridiculous, South Park portrays this world perfectly, they even predicted some things that have recently happened.

I feel one of the biggest roles as president is to represent the country. This years nominees are absolutely appalling in this sense. Our country would be a joke! We could have an almost complete liar who bashes on race and gender (which is the opposite of Americas stand on a free country all equal kind of mottos) or someone who is known for being a huge liar and secret keeper in the past. It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm really disappointing that these people are the ones America is voting for.

Honestly if i could vote right now i would not want to vote for Hilary Clinton or Donald Trump. Yet if i had to choose one it would be Hilary because after looking at the charts and seeing how much Trump has lied compared to Clinton i believe she would be better off as our president.
ReplyDeleteThis is honestly starting to get me mad. The media makes Hilary Clinton look like an angel from heaven compared to trump. This is due to the fact that most media writers are liberals. They write all this bad stuff about Trump when he says one thing that doesnt offend anyone. Even if one of his people that helps him on his campaign does something it is a huge "controversy". Then when Hillary or Berney say something of the same caliber as trump, nobody cares. The media blows everything out of proportion and it really makes me mad.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why Donald trump shouldn't be President. He is a Pathological liar, meaning that he lies more often than he speaks the truth, and he doesn't even care! He will do whatever it take to become the President just to show that he "won" be cause he himself says that he doesn't Like "losers". How can anybody trust Donald Trump, a bully, and pathological liar, to have the power to launch nuclear weapons, anywhere. I just cant see why people would want to vote for him, all he is a greedy businessman that just wants to fuel his narcissism by showing that he can win anything.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Hilary or Donald trump deserves to be president. Donald trump has lied numerous times and has said many hurtful and racist things. Hilary clinton has also lied many times and she has had some issues with the government in her past. Neither deserves to be president.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of them deserves to be the president for our country. If the leader of our country tells lies that would cause only harm to our country. If I had to pick one though I would vote for Clinton just base on how much Trump lied comparing to Clinton. Overall I don't think any of them deserve to be the president.

I do agree with Matt (above) if having a president that lies through their teeth is a safe thing for the states we need honesty i thought that what america is about. yes and if i had to choose it would also be Clinton just because shes more honest.

How can we elect a man who does not follow through on his word. "Trump's statements were awarded PolitiFact's 2015 Lie of the Year. (article)" This man is lying to get into office and it is not okay.

DeleteHA HA! I knew Donald Trump was a liar but I didn't know he was that bad. It is actually comical that people are voting for him. You would have to be stupid or not paying attention to vote for him. I would rather vote for Hillary and I highly dislike Hillary.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting idea. It is scary to see how much they all lie. "Trump's statements were awarded PolitiFact's 2015 Lie of the Year. (article)"
