Donald Trump takes on Clinton, Bush and the Pope

Story highlights

  • Trump compared Clinton's situation to that of Gen. David Petraeus, who pleaded guilty to giving some classified information to his biographer and lover
  • Trump said he predicts his campaign will "do very well" and said he also beats Clinton on their records
New York (CNN)Republican presidential front-runnerDonald Trump took on an array of subjects and political figures during a lengthy interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo on Wednesday, including Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Pope Francis and even Caroline Kennedy.
Asked first about his standing in a recent CNN/ORC poll, Trump said the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton'semail use is "devastating," and that it's not surprising that he came within 6 points of the Democrat in a head-to-head polling match-up.
"I think it's devastating for the election, but I think her bigger problem is not the election. I think her bigger problem is going to be the criminal (problem)," Trump said.

Clinton email scandal

While he said Clinton is not his "focus right now," he predicted she would struggle to get over the bad headlines generated by the investigation into her private server and the possible transmission of classified information in her private email, as well as the money she has raked in for speeches since leaving office.
"I think that Hillary's going to have a hard time being in the election based on what's going on with the emails, the servers, maybe even the speeches," Trump said. "I think it's going to be a very hard thing for her to overcome."
Trump compared Clinton's situation to that of Gen. David Petraeus, who pleaded guilty to giving some classified information to his biographer and lover.
"When I look, Chris, at what happened with Petraeus ... great general, wonderful guy, everybody loved him, and it destroyed his life over much less," Trump said. "It would seem hard to think that somebody could have a much worse situation than him and escape."
Cuomo countered that Petraeus knew the information was classified and intentionally passed it along, but there has been no indication to date that the Justice Department believes Clinton intentionally shared information she knew was classified. She has not personally been declared the subject of the investigation into her emails.
"It certainly looks like it was high-level information," Trump said. "It's always skirting the edge. What's the purpose of it? ... What is she doing, why is she doing it?"
He acknowledged that the investigation hasn't named her, but he said he believes what she did was criminal.
"I don't think I'm the only one. The FBI's involved, they only do criminal," Trump said. "Now maybe it's somebody on her staff. But look, it's ether criminal or incompetent, it's one or another ... either gross incompetence or criminal, and neither's acceptable to be president."
On Tuesday, Clinton told the press at an adversarial news conference that the email story "has nothing to do with me," made fun of questions about whether she "wiped" the server and said "no one" asks her about the emails and the servers but the press.
Trump said he predicts his campaign will "do very well" and said he also beats Clinton on their records, reiterating that he came out against the Iraq War in 2004.
"Hillary's record as secretary of state was a disaster," Trump said. "She was in favor, totally in favor, of the Iraq War, which is obviously not a good soundbite."

    Immigration

Trump isn't backing down from his call to revoke automatic citizenship for children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrant parents despite concerns he'll turn Hispanic voters off to the GOP.
"I have to do the right thing," the mogul said in an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo Wednesday, when asked about his immigration plan being under fire.
Trump has called for building a wall along the border with Mexico, revoking the right to citizenship to children born the U.S. if their parents aren't documented, and for deporting undocumented immigrants and then allowing "good ones" to re-enter the country.
He has been hit with criticism from some Republicans while taking and heavy fire from the left.
He even took flak as he sat down for the interview with CNN in Trump Tower, when an onlooker in the lobby of the building shouted: "You will never win the Latino vote. The Latino (voters) don't like you."
Trump didn't respond to the heckler, and after the interview finished taping, two people watching from the crowd told Trump they were Mexican-American and would gladly support him, which he relayed to Cuomo.
"You know, this country is so politically correct. Nobody wants to take a stance on anything," Trump told Cuomo. "Now they like to use the word undocumented because it's more political -- I don't use that word. They're illegal immigrants. They came over illegally. Some are wonderful people, and they've been here for a while. They've got to go out. They've got to leave."
He did say there were "a lot of good ones" among immigrants, and that he would try to bring them back.
"These people -- the really good ones, and we have some great ones -- we're going to try and expedite so they can come back," he said. "But they're going to come back legally."
The candidate also reiterated that he believes in changing birthright citizenship -- which grants automatic citizenship to all children born in the U.S. -- though he said he wouldn't need to amend the Constitution to do it.
"No. 1, the 14th Amendment is very questionable as to whether or not somebody can come over, have a baby and immediately that baby is a citizen. OK?" Trump said. "Amending is too big a deal. It's going to take -- it'll be two terms. I'd be in my second term or my eighth year by the time -- assuming everything went smoothly. ... I believe you can win it legally."
He said people can't be allowed to just "walk over" the border to give birth.
"You have people on the border and in one day they walk over, have a baby. And now all of a sudden we're supposed to pay the baby ... medical, Social Security," Trump said.

    Military advice

Getting military strategy by watching current and retired generals talk on TV isn't just OK with Trump -- he says it's better than any team he could assemble to personally advise him.
The mogul made the comment on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday -- earning derision from one of those frequent TV pundits, retired Gen. Michael Hayden.
But Trump defended his comments in an interview Wednesday with CNN's Chris Cuomo, saying it allows him to get a lot of advice quickly.
"I watch your show. And I watch other shows. And you have the best generals, the best everything ... frankly probably better than I could get," Trump said. "What do I know? I'm a man that made a great fortune. I'm gonna make our country rich and I'm gonna make our country great."
Rousey slams idea of Trump Presidency
Rousey slams idea of Trump Presidency 01:18
Trump said he watches shows as well as reading The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other newspapers and magazines, which allows him to "get a lot of information in a very short time."
He acknowledged that other candidates, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, have a team of advisers, but he also dinged Bush for being "very low energy" and not moving as quickly as Trump.
"You get the best people," he said. "Even the generals wanna be on television, right? Or they're retired generals in many cases. But I see a lot of good things by watching your show and other shows. And it's really nothing to be laughed at or scoffed at."
In fact, Trump said his military savvy could be one of his biggest strengths in the general election.
He pointed to a CNN/ORC poll that had him more trusted than other Republican candidates on fighting terror group ISIS.
"I think that I would be a great sleeper on the military, because people wouldn't think it's my strength, but I think it would be one of my strengths," Trump said. "One of the things I noticed in your poll, I came out way, way ahead of everybody on the economy, and a lot of people weren't surprised to see that, but I also came way out ahead on the military ... and ISIS."
He added: "I would build up our military so strong, so powerful that nobody will mess with us."

Trump: Yes I'd scare the Pope

Picture this: Trump and the Pope, face-to-face. And the Pope tells the mogul that capitalism can be toxic. How would Trump reply?
"I'd say, 'ISIS wants to get you,'" Trump said, when asked by Cuomo about that hypothetical scenario.
"You know that ISIS wants to go in and take over the Vatican? You have heard that. You know, that's a dream of theirs, to go into Italy," Trump said.
Cuomo, taken aback, asked if Trump would actually scare the Pope, who is coming to the U.S. for his first visit next month.
"I'm gonna have to scare the Pope because it's the only thing," Trump said. "The Pope, I hope, can only be scared by God. But the truth is -- you know, if you look at what's going on -- they better hope that capitalism works, because it's the only thing we have right now. And it's a great thing when it works properly."
Trump said right now, capitalism was not working properly in the U.S. because of over-regulation of industry.
The real estate mogul said that though he is a Protestant, he generally likes Pope Francis, who has been outspoken on a number of politically sensitive issues including poverty, climate change and judging gays.
"I have great respect for the Pope," Trump said. "I like the Pope. I actually like him. He's becoming very political, there's no question about it. But I like him. He seems like a pretty good guy."
Trump also noted he doesn't believe the Pope is actually opposed to capitalism.

    Meet the Trumps

Trump says his famous family is totally ready to hit the campaign trail -- and they will be great at it.
In fact, he said before he jumped into the race, he sat down with his family to talk it over.
"My wife said something very interesting," Trump said. "She's my pollster, OK? She said, 'You know if you actually announce you're going to win.' I said, 'I don't know that.' But the response has been pretty amazing."
Trump's third wife, Melania, hasn't been a huge presence on the campaign trail -- yet. But Trump said she's ready for that and, potentially, being first lady.
"Yes, she's ready," he said. "She has been (quiet so far) and purposely. You know, I haven't asked her to do anything. And she would certainly like to."
Melania would be interested in working on women's health issues, for example, Trump said. And so would his daughter, Ivanka, who he acknowledged could be president in her own right.
"She could be president -- she'd be great," Trump said. "She will be fantastic. My boys will be fantastic. ... They wanna be out there. They believe in what I'm saying."
Trump has five children: the four adults -- daughters Ivanka and Tiffany, and sons Eric and Donald Jr. -- and 9-year-old son, Barron.
He also dismissed questions about whether Melania, who was born in Slovenia but moved to the U.S. amid a successful modeling career, has any issues with the Republican's hard-line immigration policies.
"She actually agrees with me because she went through a long process to become a citizen," Trump said. "She thinks it's a wonderful process to go through. And when she got it, she was very proud of it."

    Trump on Bush

Trump took several jabs at his opponent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, in an interview with CNN on Wednesday -- including Bush's Planned Parenthood flub on women's health spending.
"When I watch Jeb Bush a week ago not wanting to fund the women's health issues ... I thought it was terrible," Trump said.
Trump was referring to Bush's comments earlier this month on wanting to defund Planned Parenthood.
"I'm not sure we need half a billion dollars for women's health issues," Bush said. His campaign later said he misspoke.
    Democrats seized on the line.
"I watched him make the statement," Trump said, alleging that only after Bush spoke to his pollsters did he say he misspoke.
"But, how do you misspeak about something like that?" Trump said. He said his wife and daughter both encouraged him to talk more about women's issues after the controversy.
"They said, you know, 'The one thing you should do is talk a little bit about women's health issues, because you're so good on it,'" Trump said. "'You know about it. And you cherish women. You want to protect women'. ... I will protect women more than anybody."
Trump has faced criticism of his treatment of women, exacerbated after he clashed with Fox News' Megyn Kelly in the first GOP debate over the epithets he has used for women in the past.
But Trump didn't just beat up on Bush, who is running second in the polls to Trump, nationally, on women's health. He also hit the former governor -- who has himself joked about being a "joyful tortoise" -- for his style.
"He's a very low energy person, Jeb Bush," Trump said. "He's got very low energy, which is okay. It's good, if you want (to) lead a long life. But he's a low energy person."

    Trump on trade

Trump says his administration would tap American businessmen Carl Icahn and Henry Kravis as top international negotiators -- pledging they could do a better job than the diplomats currently in office. He also predicted he would be "the greatest jobs president that God ever created," and get tough on countries like China, Mexico and Japan.
Pressed by Cuomo on how exactly he'd get American companies to stop building factories overseas, where labor is cheaper, Trump said he'd slap the companies with tariffs and communicate with them.
He also said current U.S. efforts to improve its standing in the world were failing -- and given overseas consumption of his products and real estate, Trump predicted his presidency would be the opposite.

"We have diplomacy now. They're killing us, and they don't even like us. ... With me, they'll like us and we'll beat them, OK?"
He said the nation's top businessmen are on his side.
"Carl Icahn agrees with me," Trump said. "And Carl Icahn, as you know, is a great negotiator. And I have many other great negotiators. They are dying to get involved."
Trump said he would "absolutely" put Icahn in charge of China and Japan.
For "The Apprentice," Trump was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in January 2007."You take a guy like Carl Icahn, you take Henry Kravis, you take so many of the guys that I know and you say, 'You know what, I'd like you to watch over the deals that are being made with China because we're getting killed on trade.' Believe me, we will be so good," Trump said. "He'd do it in two seconds. He's already told me he'd love to do it."
Trump said Icahn would be better than the current U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Caroline Kennedy.
"We have the greatest business people in the world, we don't use them," Trump said. "We use people like, I mean, she's a very nice person, my daughter likes her ... Caroline Kennedy. OK, in Japan. She didn't even know how she got the job."

    1. I agree with Donald Trump's idea to expedite the undocumented immigrants. In the article, it stated, "He [Trump] said people can't be allowed to just 'walk over' the border to give birth." I agree with this statement because it's unfair to the people who went through the process of becoming a legal citizen to start their families. Trump is saying that those undocumented immigrants can come back, but they will come back legally. I find it outrageous that these people can walk over the border to have a baby, just so we can pay for the newborn's Social Security.. etc. Approximately 300,000 babies were born from undocumented immigrants last year, and the money to pay for them is coming right from our pockets. If their parents wanted their kids to be born in the US, they should have tried to obtain legal citizenship.

In the very opening of the article Donald Trump says "that it's not surprising that he came within 6 points of the Democrat in a head-to-head polling match-up." However, one thing that he did not mention the fact that polls have been getting more and more inaccurate over the last few years. For that reason, a poll would not be the most reliable way to tell if Trump is ahead of the democtatic candidate or not. They leave out the information about where the poll was taken, how was the poll taken, and who took it. Did most of the people taking the polls come from Texas, were they all upper class men or lower class men, was it taken over phone, email, or other forms of media? All of these questions make me wonder how real this poll was and how much we shold really be quoteing it. Trump does have some good ideas, I just wonder how much of this poll was accurate.

    4. Donald Trump's idea to expedite undocumented immigrants is very intelligent. He is correct with the fact that "Nobody wants to take a stance on anything." He also adds that people use the word undocumented because "it's more political," however they are illegal immigrants. Trump's proposition is that all illegal immigrants and their US born children are illegal, and that they need to go through a process that other, now legal, immigrants went through to become a citizen. It is shocking that "people... just "walk over" the border to give birth" so their child will be a US citizen, while the true U.S. citizens have to pay for that child's medical, etc. Trump supports his claim by saying that the good ones will come back, but they will come back the right way: legal. I think Trump is going the right direction with his proposition.

    5. I support Donald Trumps intelligent but aggressive stance on Immigration. He seems to know what he is talking about when he says facts like " there are 300,000 illegally born Mexicans in America, meaning that we are taking on extra people and are having to pay for all that through social security, and etc..". I also support his thoughts on the 14th amendment and revoking automatic citizenship for babies born from illegal immigrant parents. As he says in the video provided " They're illegal immigrants. They came over illegally. Some are wonderful people, and they've been here for a while. They've got to go out. They've got to leave." which shows that he understands that not all immigrants are evil it's just the fact that they are illegal that makes them have to be expedited. He even says " These people -- the really good ones, and we have some great ones -- we're going to try and expedite so they can come back " further proving my statement that he does not hate immigrants but to the contrary he wants them come back, legally of course.

      1. I have to agree with you Soulius, I think that Trump has some very valid points, but also very wrong in many ways. He does say that not all immigrants are bad, but he also does say that a lot of them need to go, and get out of our country. I think that Trump is trying to get at they need to go, if they are illegal, as being a U.S. citizen is a privilege and shouldn't be just given to you. I think and agree with Trump in the fact that they should be welcome, but not illegally and should have to earn their right as a U.S. citizen just like everyone else.

    6. In this article Trump has a valid point. Trump is trying to tell the U.S. citizens that the fact that immigrants coming over the border to give birth to their children is wrong. He believes this is a wrong act because this is happening because they want their children to be U.S. citizens which would mean that actual citizens of the U.S. are paying for their child care. This is a big issue because it is unfair to those who go through the whole process of becoming an actual U.S. citizen because those illegal immigrants are gaining the same advantages as those who are actually legal.

    7. I agree with Trump. It is not right that immigrants can walk over the border, give birth to their child, and leave U.S. citizens held responsible paying for child care and etc. Trump says that he plans on deporting illegal immigrants, but bringing them back legally. Which I think is fair considering the fact that they were in the U.S illegally.

    8. I agree with Donald Trump on his thoughts about immigration. It is not right that people are coming into the U.S. illegally and then being supported financially. He says, "You have people on the border and in one day they walk over, have a baby. And now all of a sudden we're supposed to pay the baby ... medical, Social Security." This is not fair to all the other citizens in the U.S. He wants to make a change by having all illegal immigrants leave and then come back legally. I think that he has a good plan.

    9. Trump has some valid points, and frankly it doesn't seem like he cares much what others think of him. I believe that he could get us back on track economy wise after Obama has increased the national debt by 70% as of 2014. and someone needs to do something about illegal immigration, but perhaps he is not going about it the right way, but at least he is doing something. This country has a lot of problems.... Who knows where it is going to go next? We ned to be educated about all of the candidates and their flaws to choose the one we think is best to run this country, the president should be determined by popular vote in my opinion and the electoral college should just go away.

    10. Donald Trump does make good points. It really is unfair to the American citizens that walking over the border just to have a baby is a way for them to stay in America. Even though he is denying a child's citizenship to be an American, the immigrants are just using their child to stay in the United States. Though Trump makes good points doesn't mean he is fit to run this country. If someone comes up with a good idea that can help America with it's many issues, doesn't mean he or she is fit to run a country. Trump is first and foremost a business owner and a reality show business owner more importantly.

    12. I totally agree with Donald Trump's ideas. He has made some very solid points on immigration. He said that people cannot just "walk over, give birth" and have their child be an U.S citizen just like that. He also stated that he wants the illegal immigrants to leave. Even though he wants them to leave he says, "they're going to come back legally." I believe that that is a fair, because they were in the U.S illegally. They are also just using their child to stay in the United States.

    14. I definitely agree with some of the ideas and changes that Donald Trump has in mind. I support his idea of not giving children with immigrant parents born in America, automatic citizenship. The immigrant parents cross the border just before having their child to make sure their baby is an American citizen, and as Trump stated,"'we're supposed to pay the baby ... medical, Social Security.'" I feel that the immigrant parents are taking advantage of our laws, when they are not even American citizens, and that is not fair for us. If people want to become American citizens they should go through the process of becoming one, not having their child on the other side of the country's borders. I also feel that the law should not be changed. America is suppose to be free, welcome to everyone, and where everyone is treated equally. If we change the automatic citizenship laws, and if we kick out all of the illegal immigrants, we may be giving the wrong impression. We may be turning away people from other countries who want to live here, when they are welcome to live here and welcome to become a citizen.

    16. I agree with some of Donald Trumps statements and disagree with some others. His stances on immigration are very interesting to say the least and I do believe they are too harsh in some ways. His statement "for building a wall along the border with Mexico" doesn't exactly work. I believe that immigration should be closely monitored, but is building a wall across the border of Mexico the right way to go about it? Another interesting statement of his was "revoking the right to citizenship to children born the U.S. if their parents aren't documented" (Kopan) is a little too harsh. Instead I feel it would be a good idea to offer equal citizenship opportunity to the children born into these situations. The children shouldn't be punished what their parents did, but they should also not have an easy pass into their right to citizenship.

    17. I see why there is so much support for Donald Trump, but I cannot take stance of support for the businessman because of just that he is a businessman. For instance in his political view with foreign relations he has become too cut and dry. Yes I will admit we need action on anchor babies, but taking away birthright citizenship would create more problems than solution. That means even Children with American parents would not have citizenship, getting social security, insurance, hell even recognition of their birth would be a painful experience. When our government can't even figure out what makes someone a citizen taking an all out war on illegal citizens is not a good idea. It really says something about your country when people would rather live here as a criminal than in theirs as a citizen. California would probably have its economy crippled if this war was held. We are North enough to not feel the full effects of Alien labor, but one trip to L.A. will paint a perfect picture. They take Jobs no Citizen wants and do it with a smile on their face. How can we justify action against these people.

    18. I think Donald Trump has some very valid and aggressive points on the topic of immigration. Undocumented or "illegal" immigrants as Trump calls them, come over the border just to give birth and now our country is responsible for the medical, Social Security, etc. This requires extra expenses that could be invested in other growth opportunities for this country. One thing Trump mentioned was that, "these people-the really good ones, and we have some great ones-we're going to try and expedite to come back". This statement is very important because many good illegal immigrants generate millions of dollars in the agricultural industries for example. However the problem that should be most heavily addressed is on the bad illegal immigrants who prevent positive growth in America.

    20. After reading the article I honestly I don't agree with Donald Trump for many reasons. The reasoning for this is because maybe the immigrants that are pregnant don't want their kids to grow up in a bad environment and they want them to be healthy and live a long life. I do agree they shouldn't come illegally but some of them can't come legally because it's such a long process to get legalized. Honestly it isn't the kids fault their parents did that but the parents shouldn't be blamed either all they wanted was for their kids to grow up safe and not have to worry that they won't be.

    21. Throughout reading the article about Donald Trump, I noticed that he makes some good points. The one main point that he said was that immigrants can't be allowed to just "walk over" the border and give birth. It is obviously the parents fault, but that should not allow the children to be legalized in the U.S just because they were born here. What he meant by saying that was that, if a baby is born in the United States, we should not have to pay for the baby's Social Security and Medical. I completely agree with this point but even though Trump has a lot of good points, I do not think he would be fit to be president.

    22. I disagree with Trump's idea to remove instant citizenship from children born in the U.S.. Many parents have children in the U.S. because having U.S. citizenship would improve their lives immensely. With citizenship, they can get schooling, a job, and no have to worry about deportation. Mexico is not a safe place to live if you don't have the money to live in the few safe areas. A large portion of the country is controlled by the drug cartel, and they will not hesitate to kill you just for walking around in the wrong place. In the U.S., most citizens are protected by the police. By giving birth in the U.S., a Mexican immigrant will give their child a chance at a long and fulfilling life. 23. I agree with Trump in the statement in which he made stating that "People can't be allowed to just 'walk over' the border to give birth." Being an American citizen is a right and a privilege. Those who took up the initiative and legally became citizens of the United States are rewarded with the freedoms and rights that they have worked for. Those who illegally immigrate into the United States are taking advantage of the system and are killing all that we have worked for in this country. Trump acknowledges that some immigrants are good and could legally re-enter the United States to gain citizenship: "These people -- the really good ones, and we have some great ones -- we're going to try and expedite so they can come back". Another thing I feel that Trump funds himself which makes me feel comfortable that nobody could possibly not telling him how to run America. When his slogan says "make America great again" it is not easy to like anybody else in my opinion. Anthony Cosentino P.5

    25. i would never agree with trump"Trump isn't backing down from his call to revoke automatic citizenship for children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrant parents despite concerns he'll turn Hispanic voters off to the GOP."(kopen). I believe that all people that are born in the us are natives to the us and are not immigrants. all the people born here diverse to stay here.

    26. I agree with Donald Trump on most of his statements on immigration. I do not think it is right for people that live in other countries to cross our border and have a child in the US so their child can be an American citizen. I feel that if they really want their child to be born in America, then they should go through the legal process of becoming a citizen before going across the border. I do not agree with building a wall on our border because I think it will cost a lot of money, but i do agree with deporting illegal immigrants if they have committed a crime. Adrianne Mahlman P.6

    28. I rarely agree with anything Trump says, but he does make a valid point on the topic of illegal immigrants as immigration is a growing problem in America. His opinions on immigration and the Hispanic population have been harsh to say the least. In this article he makes the point of how "people walking over the boarder, and having their children here", is wrong and should be prohibited. I have to agree with this statement. Children born to illegal parents on U.S. should not automatically make them citizens. He said people can't be allowed to just "walk over" the border to give birth. If they want their children to become citizens i think they should have to go though the work of themselves becoming legal citizens

    29. I agree with some of the things that he said, for instance, illegal immagrants should not be able to come to America illegally. We had to earn our right to be here and they just come through easily, and its just not right.

    30. After reading the gun violence article and i have many thinks that i feel are wrong about the facts and the topic in general. I truly believe that the people are the cause to gun violence problems because the gun is just the weapon that does the action you yourself have to have the deed to actually pull the trigger. Also, i think that there should be somewhat gun restrains for some sorts such as having it if your not a registered Hunter, Police Etc. I hope that in the future these rules will be fulfilled and that whoever does these actions should be severely punished.

When reading the gun violence post, they were going about it wrong with restricting semi auto guns everywhere is the us. We should work to enforce are laws on the people who can get them. I am a gun lover been around them my whole life and I love going shooting, like many Americans. If they pass the law of no semi autos at all many Americans would be outraged and feel like the government has betrayed the people. The gun is not the thing that kills the person, its the man behind the gun, who kills people, so we should make laws that are impossible for a mentally ill person to get a gun. The people who shouldn't have guns are people that have had a violent act on there criminal record or a person that is mentally ill. This would be difficult to find out if a person is mentally ill, but they can at least make it hard for the people who they know are to get a gun.

    32. In the article gun violence, they were a good amount of people that said that most of the dangerous people with guns were the ones that were mentally ill. Most of the mentally ill people use the gun for themselves, to commit suicide, not generally to kills other people. Yes there are a good amount of shooting incidence but most of the people that committed them got caught and were punished, and even if the laws did change it wouldn't matter to some people, they could get a gun illegally or sell it illegally, I don't think that the crime rate with weapons would change that much.

    33. In the article "Gun Violence", I noticed that it was a little one-sided because it basically talked about how it's the people at fault. I truly agree that it is the people who are at fault for this subject. This is because the gun cannot shoot itself; it has to have a person pull the trigger. However, I also strongly believe that if there were no guns in the first place, the world wouldn't be having these problem. In conclusion, both the person and the gun are at fault because the person abuses the purpose for a gun and if guns didn't exist, we wouldn't be talking about this.

    34. Trumps interview reveals his basic ideas of immigration, scaring the pope and capitalism. The immigration polices of his ideas are to kick out all the illegals and bring the good ones back legally. His idea of scaring the pope is military base by him telling the pope the he should be afraid of ISIS. He is a capitalist and he believe that socialism is destroying the US
